DISNEYLAND PARIS 2013

Last year I visited Disneyland Paris, as well as the city, in August. I did a couple of posts about my time in Paris and at Disneyland which you can see here, here, and here. Whilst out there I also decided to film some of it on my small camera with the intention of a creating a video to go alongside those posts. Because I'm super disorganized sometimes, I've only just got around to editing it together properly and creating something that I wanted to share. It's a super short video of just some of the footage as many of the clips I filmed were either very short or shaky, but I hope you like it! I'd love to know what you think and if you'd like to see more videos on here and on my YouTube channel.

1/2 MARATHON UPDATE #1

With less than 40 days now until I run my first 1/2 marathon I thought I'd finally do an update post. As mentioned in my initial post on it, I love running and sports. I always have. So when I signed up for a 1/2 marathon I knew that it would take a far bit of training in order to get myself ready for the 13 mile race.

In the first couple of weeks I probably didn't train as much as I should have but in more recent weeks I've started to pick up the training slightly and I'm slowly building my long runs at the weekend in order to prepare myself for the final run. Alongside my training I also decided that I wanted to start a run streak; running at least 1 mile a day, inspired by Amy Lawerson (Associate Health and Beauty Editor for ELLE magazine) and the whole of the ELLE running club. On the 4th March I began my streak and as of this post going up (25th March) I'm still sticking at it with 22 days now ticked off.

I'm pleased with my pace at the moment around (10 minutes/pm) so I'll be pleased if that is my pace on race day. I think I'll do one more update before the actual race and I'll be sure to do a post about it once I've completed it!
If you have any tips send them my way! Have you run/or planned to run a half marathon?

EXMOUTH COFFEE

Last Friday I was out taking photographs for the Iconemesis Blog (make sure to check it out) and one of the places I visited along the way was a coffee shop called Exmouth Coffee. It was one of the nicest coffee shops I have visited and am already planning on my next trip.

Around a five minutes walk from Aldgate Tube Station (or Aldgate East is also nearby) Exmouth Coffee is the perfect stop to grab something to drink or a bite to eat. There is no sign for shop so make sure to keep an eye out for it as you're walking down the street (it's situated next to the gallery so it's not too hard to miss!). The large glass front to the shop allows you to peer in at the cafe and see all the amazing looking food on offer. From savory to sweet snacks, as well as freshly pressed juices there is a lot of tasty looking dishes on offer. In terms of price it's reasonable, it's slightly more expensive that some similar places but the cafe is such a nice atmosphere and the service is great, it's definitely worth that little bit extra. I had a brownie and fresh apple juice, both tasted amazing and I would definitely recommend them. I also had my eye on the salads and huge meringues that were on display in the window.

I'd highly recommend visiting Exmouth Coffee if you're in the Aldgate area and looking for something to eat or drink. Are there any other independent coffee shops you would recommend in London?
